Portable traffic counter with sensors that do not require roadbed installation (non-intrusive) for collecting vehicle volume in free-flow traffic at speeds between 25-80 mph. Software, as necessary, to extract the data collected and deliver standard data formats. Other equipment, interface cables, and connectors as necessary to deliver the traffic data as described. Data collection technicians are assigned 20-30 individual counters and a van supplied with fastening/retrieval supplies. This van will be the base for any additional equipment required for deploying these counters. Work assignments cover 1- 4 weeks in rural Kansas, counters must operate at least 6-8 weeks from the van without requiring shop resources. Any maintenance activities that should be performed in this period - including recharging, cleaning or diagnostics - should require only common hand tools or resources provided with these counters. The devices proposed must be under current manufacture with new components and materials. Software enhancements needed to conform to these requirements must be specifically documented, included within the software cost, and become part of the regular software upgrade and maintenance package. Period of Contract: February 1, 2024 through January 31, 2029 Bid Guarantee: No monetary bid guarantee required. The State has the right to rely on any price quotes provided by bidders. The vendor shall be responsible for any mathematical errors in pricing. The State reserves the right to reject bid responses which contain errors. Pre-Bid Conference No pre-bid conference is scheduled for this bid event. Event Bid description: Bids are not considered received until they are date and time stamped in the Office of Procurement and Contracts. The Office of Procurement and Contracts will not be responsible for late deliveries. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure the bid date and time is met and the EVT number and company name is included in the subject line of the email. Bidders are encouraged to submit bids to the above email address no later than 1:45PM on the bid closing date.
