The Board of Regents for the Regional University System of Oklahoma has authorized NSU Capital Projects and Planning to initiate the selection process for this project. SELECTION: The solicitation and screening procedures will follow Board guidelines for consultant selection and the Board will be notified of committee meetings and interviews. A recommendation for the selection of a firm will be presented to the Board at a subsequent meeting. The selection will be made in accordance with Title 61, and Oklahoma Statutes Site Directions: 601 N Grand Ave NSU is seeking qualified Construction Managers to assist in the historical restoration of the Bacone House which will serve as a local cultural hub for student gatherings and cultural practices. INSURANCE: Bonds and insurance, including professional liability insurance coverage will be required. Northeastern State University will be investing grant funding in the Bacone House in order to provide a full historical restoration. The Bacone House was originally constructed in 1867 and was an Indian university institution. This restoration project will provide a cultural hub for student gatherings and cultural ceremonial practices. The intent is to create a native based cultural and life skills lab. The grant funding will be allocated in allotments over a three (3) year period for a total construction investment of $995,000. Proposals will be evaluated on many criteria deemed to be in the University's and students' best interests, including, but not limited to, depth of services offered, relevant project history, stability of company, sub-contractor pool, completeness of service offering and references. Construction Manger selection is anticipated to be completed by March 1 st 2024.
