Otherwise, the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $75.00. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to BidDocs ONLINE, Inc., to cover mail handling costs. The City of Lynn, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for accessibility renovations to the Grand Army of the Republic Hall and Museum, located at 58 Andrew Street in Lynn, MA, in accordance with the documents prepared by architects the Spencer Preservation Group The scope of the work includes: o New traction elevator, including shaft and its foundation. o New accessible restrooms. o Associated mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, plumbing and fire protection modifications to accommodate the new work. All bids for this project are subject to the stricter applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including G.L. c.149, 44A through 44H, as amended and Federal Regulations 2 CFR 200. Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive and Federal Davis Bacon Act. Contractor is responsible to pay the higher of the two (2) wage rates General bidders must be DCAMM certified in the category "Historic Building" or "General Building". Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified in their respective trades. All bids must include a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Update Statement. General Bidders and Filed Sub-bidders shall have completed similar work on at least 3 buildings listed in the State Register of Historic Places within the past 5 years. All Bids should be submitted electronically online and received no later than the date and time specified above. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates) and made payable to the City of Lynn The City of Lynn reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
