HHSC PCS is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for swimming pool maintenance at Mexia State Supported Living Center. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) system. The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC administers solicitations for HHS. HHSC PCS is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for swimming pool maintenance at Mexia State Supported Living Center. Both HHS Agencies, HHSC and DSHS, will be entitled to use any contract awarded as a result of this Solicitation. To be considered for award, Bidders must submit a comprehensive Response which includes all required information and documentation as outlined in this Solicitation to ensure the Bidder meets all requirements, possesses the required experience and qualifications and has the capacity to provide the goods and related services described in this Solicitation. See Appendix A, Submission Instructions and Response Checklist. Scope of Services to be Performed The required services to be provided are maintenance activities including but not limited to checking of overall appearance, pool levels, chlorine residual, vacuum pumps, hair traps, pressure and vacuum gages, rate of flow indicators, filters, storage tanks, and air systems of Mexia SSLC's one(1) indoor and one (1) outdoor swimming pools two (2) times per week. Twice Weekly Maintenance Specifications: Check pool and overall appearance Check pool water level Check chlorine residual (total and free) Test pH Check calcium hardness Clean tiles if necessary with surface cleaner Vacuum pool as needed Clean hair trap on vacuum pump Check for algae growth Inspect pool equipment e.g., broken pipes, unusual noises, electrical issues Clean pool filters if necessary Skimming, backwashing, and brushing as needed HHS, at its sole discretion, during the contract term and with a 30 days' advance written notice, reserves the right to change, consolidate, delete or add service locations. a) Location(s) for Services Mexia State Supported Living Center 540 Chapel Drive, Mexia, TX 76667.
