These specifications cover the application of paint and glass beads necessary to complete the pavement marking program specified by the Ottawa County Road Commission. The program consists of marking approximately 950 miles of county roads and approximately 130 miles of city streets. The Contractor will be responsible for furnishing all materials including paint and glass beads and in addition all labor and equipment necessary to apply the pavement makings and to protect the paint line until dry Pavement Marking - Furnishing and Application of Paint and Beads to approximately 1,080 miles of various County Roads and City Streets within Ottawa County, Michigan. Each bid must be submitted on the form supplied by the Road commission and in a sealed envelope plainly marked as to the item being bid upon (2024 Pavement Marking Bid) and the name of the bidder. The Road Commission reserves that right to reject any and all bids and award the Contract in any manner they deem to be in the best interest of the County of Ottawa. The Ottawa County Road Commission, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, disability, race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
