SCOPE OF WORK The new system must comply with the requirements of NEPA 72, NFPA 70, IBC and NFPA 101 for a University Business Occupancy installation. The New system must also comply with all applicable University specified requirements. The Fire Alarm System must be protected against electrical surges, spokes, sags, over-voltages, brownouts, and electrical noise. For any delay in completion, the Contractor and their sureties shall be liable for, and shall pay to the Owner, the aggregate sum of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) as fixed, agreed, and liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay until the contract work is completed and accepted by the University (Owner). Question Deadline 01/25/2024 at 2:00 PM ET Liquidated Damages of $250/day. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Kentucky and countersigned by a licensed Kentucky Resident Agent representing the Surety Company. The awarded Contractor shall furnish a performance and payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of this contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor, including payment of all unemployed contributions which become due and payable under the Kentucky Unemployment Insurance Law furnishings materials in connection with this contract.
