Demolition, site work and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Gloucester, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The County reserves the right to reject any and all quotes in whole or in part, to waive any informality and to delete items before making an award. Bidders agree that decisions of the Purchasing Agent are final, and shall hold harmless the County, its departments, directors, employees, and consultants and others involved in solicitation and selection. The submission of a quote indicates acceptance of this condition. PROJECT LOCATION: Whitcomb Lodge at Beaverdam Park 8687 Roaring Springs Road Gloucester, VA 23061 PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE: The Contractor shall begin services after receipt of a Notice to Proceed by the issuance of a purchase order and completed within 30 days. It is the bidder's sole responsibility to visit, review and be aware of the site conditions, before offering their bid. By signing this solicitation, you accept all conditions expressed therein. PURPOSE: Gloucester County is seeking quotations from a qualified, licensed, and insured contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to remove glued down carpet and smaller hallway of vinyl tiles. After demolition, the Contractor shall install Heavyweight laminate flooring for the Whitcomb Lodge at Beaverdam Park. COUNTY POINT OF CONTACT: Gloucester county Representative: Gregg Tonge, Parks Superintendent, Gloucester County Parks, Recreation, & Tourism (804) 824-2741. INSURANCE: By signing and submitting a quotation under this solicitation, the Bidder certifies that if awarded the contract, it will have the following minimum insurance coverage(s) at the time the contract is awarded. For construction contracts, if any subcontractors are involved, the subcontractor will have workers' compensation insurance in accordance with 2.2-4332 and 65.2-800 et seq. of the Code of Virginia. The Bidder further certifies that the Contractor and any subcontractors will maintain these insurance coverage(s) during the entire term of the contract and that all insurance coverage(s) will be provided by insurance companies authorized to sell insurance in Virginia by the Virginia State Corporation Commission. Bidder shall provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the Gloucester County School Division as an Additional Insured for any work done on school property at the Bidder's expense. If requested, the Bidder shall provide a Certificate of Insurance naming Gloucester County as an Additional Insured for any work done on county property at the Bidder's expense. Note: Actual limits and aggregates may be increased or decreased for specific projects during negotiation, or as the Purchasing Agent assesses the amount of risk. SCOPE OF WORK- FLOOR TILE AND CARPET DEMOLITION: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, expertise, and supervision to remove existing carpet in the main room and vinyl floor tiles in hallway. Vinyl tiles in kitchen and bathroom to remain. o Existing furnishing will be removed by County prior to demolition schedule. o Protect wall surfaces including wood base. o Ensure materials are handled and disposed of in OSHA approved means and processes. o Upon completion floor surfaces should be free of residue or contaminants. SCOPE OF WORK- NEW FLOOR INSTALLATION: Contractor shall provide labor, materials, expertise and supervision to install approximately 1,330 sq.ft. of the following product. o Eastern Flooring Heavyweight product line, color, TBD o Product will be applied using manufactures recommended adhesive on existing slab.
