Install via horizontal directional drilling, approximately 591 lft of 8 diameter HDPE water main to replace existing eight (8) inch water mains. Install via open cut, approximately 76 lft of 8 diameter HDPE water main to replace existing eight (8) inch water mains. This project will include the installation of 4 new hydrants and 5 gate valve & wells, and the reconnection of 18 water services. The project shall include all pavement restoration, surface restoration, traffic control, soil erosion control, dewatering and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete the work as indicated on the Plans and Specifications. All bidders must meet the requirements set forth in the Township's statement. The Township will require at least three (3) satisfactory municipal references for similar work as a prime contractor using the Pipe Bursting method over the last five (5) years for all contracts with a value of greater than $50,000.00 and a minimum total installation of 15,000 lineal feet of pipe. It is the intention of Bloomfield Township to award this Contract to a qualified pipe bursting contractor with experience on at least one (1) pipe bursting job in the method that has been selected.
