Renovation of a water / sewer project in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The scope for the Sasamat Reservoir Refurbishment project is to complete structural repairs and improvements to the reservoir. Reservoir underdrain water flow has recently increased indicating a leak within the reservoir. The Contractor, Consultant, and the Corporation will work together to identify and develop repairs to stop the active leak. A condition assessment completed in 2019 identified defects within the reservoir (cracks, spalls, failing sealants) which are also to be repaired. While the reservoir is out of service the Corporation will use this opportunity to install new stairs within the reservoir to improve access.
