Saving Project...

Renovation of a detention facility in Lenox, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

What type of work you will be doing at the exterior doors. Our work would consist of removing the existing wiring to the electric lock and door position switch so the new door/frame can be replaced, once replaced we would reinstall the cabling and rewire the electric lock and door position switch, then test. Would the future architect need to coordinate the door or frame design with Allied Other than to determine where the cabling is to be pulled back to while they install the new door, the other item the engineer would want to verify is that the new electric locks are the same voltage and similar current draw so as to not exceed the limits of the existing door control system. Of course, of these doors don't have electric locks and door positions we would not be involved with those doors. ALL questions should be emailed to Chris Bahjet at BahjetC@Michigan.gov no later than 2:00 p.m., Eastern on February 13/2024 Propose your own schedule. To note, It will take approximately 3 months from the time when the plans and specification are ready to be reviewed by DLARA (LARA will not review specifications) to the point of holding the preconstruction meeting. Y16166, 1065-42 The Michigan Department of Technology Management and Budget (DTMB) in partnering with the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) is seeking proposals for the design and construction administration to replace all exterior doors at twenty-one (21) buildings and structures throughout the facility. A list of the building, structures and doors is in the posted attachment. There are approximately one hundred sixteen (116) doors. Among which there are thirty-two (32) double doors and two (2) quad doors at the Administration building. A priority has been established to use this criterion during bidding as alternates to facilitate award as budget allows. Phases 100 through 700 are expected to be included. In addition, include Phase 800 as explained below. Door entrance controls is part of the project. MDOC will clarify this scope during the walkthrough. Coordination with other professionals working on this work scope is possible.
