The community of Fox Lake is year-round accessible via Provincial Road No’s 391, 280, and 290 from Thompson. Road-access ground distance is approximately 1050 km from Winnipeg and approximately 300 km from Thompson. The Provincial Road network exhibits gravel-topped structures – save various paved patches along PR 290. The four kilometres all-weather road tying Bird Townsite to Provincial Road 290 is also a gravel-topped roadway. The nearest airport to Fox Lake Cree Nation is The Town of Gillam.
