The City of Boston, acting through its Chief of Streets, in- vites sealed bids for the performance of the work generally described above, and particularly set forth in the Invitation for Bids. The City is looking to make transportation safety improvements on Harrison Ave from East Berkeley Street to Herald Street, including, but not limited to, removing ex- isting granite and concrete median in the middle of street and reconstructing the roadway to restabilize for vehicular use. Question Deadline 10/07/2024 All questions as to the interpretation of the plans and specifications shall be submitted in writing to StreetsBidQA@boston.gov Work under this item shall consist of producing and furnishing hot mix asphalt composed of mineral aggregate and asphalt binder, mixed in a central mixing plant and placed on a prepared course in accordance with these specifications and conformance to the lines, grades, thickness and typical cross sections shown on the plans or as directed by the Engineer. Each course shall be constructed to the depth, typical section, or elevation required by the contract and/or plans and shall be rolled, finished, and approved before the placement of the next course. Each course shall be placed to a smooth, dense, and uniform appearance.
