DESCRIPTION OF WORK ON POPE TOWN STREETS AND PARK Grass and Water Ditch area(Once per month) This includes removal of trash and debris from roadside within cutting area. String trimmers should be used as necessary to touch up after mowing around all signs, bushes, trees and upper outer bank or top of all water or drain ditches. (Not accessible by mowers) Any culverts with ends that appear to be overloaded with debris. The contractor will be expected to make two (2) lawn mower cuts on each side of street(away from street), the two (2)cuts (assuming they are of a standard size mower) stated in inches would be roughly 78" to84". If a bush hog is used the2" to 3.5" cut would have to be followed and the street cleaned afterward. The site will be surveyed before every mowing to first remove items that should not be mowed over, such as bottles, cans and fallen limbs disposing of them. Twice per Month (March-October) Grass cutting and weed eating to be maintained at City Park and Town Hall and keep parking lot of town hall blown off and weeds and limbs maintained. This includes the big bank on Main St. across from City Park near Pear St. Description of work to be performed at Lagoon (once per month) (March Oct.) GRASS will be bush hogge donce monthly beginning March through October. BANKS to be cut once during this time to help eliminate any overgrowth or trees growing on banks. FENCE line needs to be kept clean of vines and growth. The fence can be sprayed with chemicals to maintain. Also, the area outside fenced area of the lagoon a distance of 4 to 5 feet should be maintained. LIFT STATIONS (15) are to be mowed or weed eated monthly. CELLS (3) are to be maintained with all trees, bushes and shrubbery removed. No chemicals should be sprayed around the cells of the lagoon The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
