The Interim MRF construction is a new facility that will operate to receive, handle, and process single stream recyclables during the period when the existing Metrolina MRF processing facility is down for a complete retrofit, being completed as a separate project. The Interim MRF includes the construction of site improvements and infrastructure, prefabricated metal building installation, recycling processing equipment installation, and other operational support aspects such as mobile office trailers, scales, railroad crossing and signal improvements, and fire suppression equipment. This work with the specific work pertaining to their trades as required per the proejct dwgs. and specifications. Completed plans call for site work development and infrastructure for the new Material Factility that is 48,000 sqft. Work consists of the following: sidewalks / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer, site scale, concrete, metal fabrications, and electrical. Project will start around March 2024 and the project duration is 223 calendar days broken up into two phases as outlined in the project specifications. The MBE participation goal for this project is 6% and the WBE particapation goal for this project is 4%. JM Cope is willing to break down elements of the work to facilitate minority participation as required and also participates with joint check agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
