This project consists of the removal and disposal of existing sport court tile flooring system tiles and underlayment, removal, and disposal of VCT tile flooring and installing new wood athletic flooring for the entire gymnasium space. Questions Deadline: 5:00pm, Friday, February 9th, 2024 No Bid may be withdrawn for Forty-Five (45) days after opening time The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. The scope of work associated with this project is to remove existing gym floor and replace with
a new floor at Millbrook Exchange Park. This includes all inspection/permitting fees. All work
is to be performed in accordance with current North Carolina code. The 7800 (estimated) square foot facility currently has a resilient tile sport court system installed
on top of an existing VCT tile floor. The project should also include installing:
appropriate moisture control measures on the concrete slab.
o new rubber wall base compatible with flooring system.
o court markings to match current court markings (aligned with
basketball backstops and volleyball in ground sleeves).
o modification or replacement of doors that open into the gymnasium
to account for new floor height.
o tapering of playing surface or installation of thresholds or ramps to
transition from new wood floor surface to existing surfaces adjacent
