THERE CAME on for Consideration by the Board of Supervisors of Lawrence County, Mississippi the matter of the advertising for bids for certain supplies for the County and for all Supervisors Districts, for the Calendar year 2024, and upon Motion made, duly seconded and carried, it is ORDERED that the Clerk of the Board be and he is hereby authorized and directed to give notice as required by law, that the Board will receive sealed bids for the purchase by the County and the various Supervisors Districts for certain supplies and services Calendar year beginning January 2, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024. Publication of Board proceedings, etc.; gasoline, diesel, fuel, oil, grease and also with bidder furnishing equipment, tires, tubes, road machine supplies, lumber, piling and posts, both treated and not treated oak, grader blades, nuts and bolts, road signs, barricades, gravel, clay gravel, washing gravel, county mat rock and county seal asphalt, cold mix, furnishing prisoner meals, miscellaneous road supplies, also grader truck and loader, tires, tubes and materials, dozer service, truck hire, limestone 89; office supplies and tax receipts on NCR paper. Bids are also solicited for the furnishing of necessary equipment, labor and services necessary for spot-patching and over-laying of blacktop roads located in all Supervisors Districts. Bids shall be quoted on a per ton hot mix and cold mix, applied basis. Bids are also solicited for the furnishing of equipment, labor and services necessary for resealing county blacktop roads located in all Supervisors Districts. All necessary materials will be furnished by the County at the job site. The road surfaces will be prepared by the County. The County will furnish the necessary sweeping surfaces. Bids shall be received on a basis of cost per gallon of AC-5 asphalt, applied and cost per cubic yard of material spread. Road widths shall be 16 feet; 18 feet; and 20 feet; also dozer service, truck tires, pile driving equipment and dragline hire.
