Reference Number 0000339421 Castle Pines Metropolitan District (District) has determined that the waterline located underneath Hummingbird Drive at the Castle Pines Golf Club requires replacement. Initial planning and engineering have been undertaken, and preliminary concepts and specific improvements have been identified. Site survey control and Site Utility Engineering can be seen on Exhibit #1 (Hummingbird Base Mapping) and preliminary Geotechnical (borings) work has been completed along the proposed alignment and can be reviewed in Exhibit #2. Please review Exhibit #3 for the CmaR contract that CPMD plans to use for the project. The initial design and construction portion is planned to consist of replacing approximately 3,200 linear feet centerline length of 12" Permastran Watermain Pipe. The district wants to utilize trenchless methodologies for replacement of the waterline compared to traditional "cut and cover" methodologies due to accessibility and other negative impacts to the neighborhood. The current design plan is to utilize pipe bursting where feasible. The District anticipates successfully working with the selected CMaR Contractor (Contractor) on this Permastran Replacement Phase 2 Project, during preconstruction and construction phases.
