The Work under this Project for Building 900 Renovations at Lafayette High School consists of the renovation of the existing Annex Building including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression, structural, and interior finishes. The building is a one-story, concrete slab on grade, steel framed structure with masonry exterior walls and brick veneer. The building is approximately 15,000sf not including the mechanical mezzanine. The Work also consists of the adjacent Courtyard improvements including new pedestrian paving, fencing, planting, grading, and drainage and any other work required as specified in the Contract Documents, shown on the Drawings, or otherwise required to complete the work of this contract. All supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, and other appurtenances and/or incidentals required, and any other work required as specified in the Contract Documents, shown on the Drawings, or otherwise required to complete the work of this contract in accordance with the Contract Plan/Drawings and Specifications Bid Security in the amount of Five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Performance and Payment bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract will be required by the Owner prior to Contract Award. The cost of bonds is to be included in the bid price The Owner reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive informalities in the Bid Liquidated Damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per day will be assessed for failure to meet the schedule for Substantial and Full Completion.
