Site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Commerce Township, Michigan. Completed plans call for asbestos abatement for a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The Walled Lake Consolidated School Districts Board of Education will receive firm prime contractor bids to provide asbestos abatement prior to renovations at Walled Lake Western High School. This project will be completed in April, June, July, and November 2024; and June and July 2025, prior to building renovation activities and will include the removal and disposal of asbestos floor tile, asbestos floor tile mastic, non-asbestos carpet, asbestos thermal system insulation materials, asbestos interior boiler materials, asbestos light heat shield, asbestos wall joint caulk, asbestos wall window glazing, asbestos HVAC vibration dampener, asbestos exterior window caulk, door frames with asbestos caulk, stair tread with asbestos adhesive, sinks with asbestos undercoating, tagged fire doors, and tagged fire door frames. Each proposal must be submitted in duplicate on the forms furnished by the architect and must be completed in full. A bid bond executed by a Treasury listed surety company acceptable to the Walled Lake Consolidated School District or a cashiers check in the amount of at least 5% of the sum of the proposal payable to the Walled Lake Consolidated School District shall be submitted with each proposal over $29,572. All proposals shall be firm for a period of sixty (60) days. Successful bidders whose proposals are $50,000 or more will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond by a Treasury listed surety in the amount of 100% of their bid.
