Renovation of a detention facility in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
As of March 11, 2024, project was awarded to RICE LAKE GLASS & DOOR but no amount was given. The Polk County Public Works Division is accepting proposals for installation of bullet resistant glazing in Public facing windows at our Justice Center located at 1005 West Main Street, Balsam Lake, WI 54810. Speak throughs and concave paper slots underneath the glazing will be required. Removal and disposal of the existing windows will be required. Bullet resistant glass on certain doors will also be included. -The Justice Center has 12 separate windows in various areas that we seek to be replaced with BulletResistant Glazing. -In addition, there are approximately 5 windows in doors we would like Bullet Resistant Glazing added. The deadline for vendor questions is Friday, February 9, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. CT. Email all questions to Rod Polk, Public Works Division Director at rod.polk@polkcountywi.gov The Polk County Board or its designee reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or any proposal which, in their opinion, will be inappropriate to carry out the work under the terms of the contract and to waive any irregularities
