This project calls for a detailed study to replace the steam boiler heating system in the SOM warehouse
600 building. The current steam boiler system is over 40 years old and is beyond its designed service life.
The boiler is leaking, and catastrophic failure is imminent. The PSC shall explore all options for a new
heating system which shall include but not limited to hydronic, steam or a gas fired system for the
warehouse areas. The study shall include cost estimates for each proposed system, potential rebates,
ROIs, and calculated. LEIN Check (Department of Corrections ONLY) All contractor / vendor representatives attending
Preproposal Walk Through Meeting must submit a Vendor / Contractor LEIN Request form five business
days prior to the meeting date (See the attached Vendor/Contractor LEIN Request Form). Send the LEIN
Request form, filled and signed, by email to Daniel T. Smith at email address: smithD76@michigan.gov .
The email "Subject" must include (facility name, project name, date and time of Pre-Proposal Walk Through
