This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Raleigh, North Carolina. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
Install traffic embedded roadway loops on an as needed basis in the City of Raleigh. In review of the Bid, Vendors may have questions to clarify or interpret the bid in order to submit the best bid possible. To accommodate the bid questions process, Vendors shall submit any such questions by January 18, 2024 @ 2:00 p.m. The City will not entertain any further questions after the question deadline. Send your questions via email to Terika.Swinney@raleighnc.gov with the bid number in the subject line of your email. The City will answer all questions in an addendum to the bid and post on the IPS website. Pursuant to General Statues of North Carolina Section 143-128 and 143-131 and to City policy, the City of Raleigh encourages and provides equal opportunity for Certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) businesses to participate in all aspects of the City's contracting and procurement programs to include - Professional Services; Goods and Other Services; and Construction. The prime contractor will be required to identify participation of MWBE businesses in their bid, and how that participation will be achieved. Furthermore, the City's goal is to contract or sub-contract fifteen percent (15%) of the contract amount to Certified MWBEs on construction projects over $300,000, or with contracts that include $100,000 or more in state funding. The goal breakdown is 8% for minorities and 7% for non-minority females. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the City of Raleigh for an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid; or in lieu of the Bid Bond, the bidder may offer the bid deposit in the form of a cashier's check, or a certified check on a bank or trust company insured by the FDIC. The bid bond must be executed by a corporate surety licensed in North Carolina. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the City of Raleigh, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Bidders shall provide certification that performance and payment bond sureties are licensed in North Carolina. Hargett Street, Raleigh, NC 27602, Phone No. (919) 996-4064, or email: Chris.Jefferson@raleighnc.gov. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect
