WORK consists generally of the replacement of the cooling tower, pumps, piping, and controls in the AIT building on the East Peoria Campus. Bids will be received for completion of entire project under a single Mechanical Contract, which will include Mechanical, General, Electrical, Controls, and other Miscellaneous Work. Substantial completion will be August 2nd, 2024. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the bid sum. Commencement of the work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of the Board of Trustees, ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE, EAST PEORIA, ILLINOIS. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner. The Owner anticipates a letter of intent to award the contract on Friday February 16th, 2024. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Vendors, Suppliers, and Equipment Representatives must obtain plans from a contractor. Mandatory Green Envelopes in which to submit your bid can be obtained from the owner. Addenda will be distributed to Greater Peoria Contractor's Association and to the plan holders on file at The Wassi Group. It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure receipt of all project addenda prior to bidding. CAD files will not be made available at any point.
