Renovation of a municipal facility in Phoenix, Arizona. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Laws, 2022, Second Regular Session, Chapter 309 (HB2858) appropriated $52,274,000 for the renovation of 1616 W Adams and 1688 W Adams and the demolition of 1624 W Adams. $47,274,000 was appropriated from the General Fund (GF) and $5,000,000 from the Capitol Mall Consolidation Fund (CMCF). The $5,000,000 appropriation from the CMC F was made based on the expected property sale of 1919 W Jefferson St, an ADO A owned building. Due to zoning issues with the City of Phoenix, the sale was terminated and the funds will no longer be deposited into the CMC F to fund the appropriation. I n light of the issues regarding the sale of 1919 W Jefferson, ADO A is requesting that the $5,000,000 be appropriated out of the General Fund in order to fulfill the original appropriation amount. The project is include in the state 2024 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
