The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT"), an agency of the Commonwealth of
Virginia, is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide Janitorial Services at the Abingdon Residency Office,
Survey Office, and Area Headquarters (AHQ) in accordance with the specifications contained herein.
Lot 1: Abingdon Residency Office located at 700 East Main Street, Abingdon, VA. 24210; and Survey Office,
located at 710 East Main Street, Abingdon, VA. 24210
Lot 2: Abingdon Area Headquarters (AHQ) located at 14381 Enterprise Road, Abingdon, Va. 24210
Contractor shall comply with Security Requirements as set forth in Section X, Special Terms and Conditions,
item 24 The contract will be for a period of one year, with the start date to be determined at
time of award (renewable). Any questions regarding this Invitation for Bids shall be addressed to Christine Necessary,
christine.necessary@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued
as a result of questions or other matters raised. Provide questions by close of business five (5) days prior to the bid
due date. : The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supervision, materials, supplies,
and tools to clean the Abingdon Residency Office, Survey Office and Area Headquarters per the attached
specifications of this Invitation for Bid (IFB), at the frequencies and times specified. Services include all
functions normally considered part of workmanlike, satisfactory janitorial work, whether or not specifically
listed herein. The Contractor's supervisor shall report to the VDOT Contract Administrator as necessary to
communicate information pertaining to services or problems that may occur. See Attachment A for the
schedule and list of Duties and Tasks.
