Generator Replacement for Public Works Administration and City Hall Buildings Question Deadline 01/24/2024 at 2:00 PM ET It is the intent of this solicitation to engage one (1) firm to furnish and install a complete 350KW generator system (non-proprietary preferred) including all controls, fueling, distribution, and associated components for the Public Works Administration and City Hall buildings. Important Note: ARPA Funds will be used for the purchase and installation of the generator. Davis-Bacon Labor standards and requirements apply to this project. The Contractor will: o Remove existing diesel generators at Public Works Administration and City Hall buildings. o Remove and dispose of diesel fuel in existing generators. The existing slab will remain in place. o Transport and unload the existing diesel generators to George Gideon Auctioneers, Inc., 2753 N. Orange Blossom Trail, Zellwood, Florida 32798. o Directional bore from City Hall generator to the Public Works Administration building generator, approximately 540'. o Install a large underground junction box for halfway pulling point. o Remove existing 1,200 amp SE rated transfer switch at the City Hall location and replace with a new ASCO brand switch. o Remove existing 600 amp SE rated transfer switch at the Public Works Administration location and replace with a new ASCO brand switch. o Install a new 350kw 120/208v 3phase outdoor natural gas generator at the City Hall location and extend the existing slab as necessary. o Install metal platform and Safety Railing as needed to meet electrical code. o Connect the natural gas line to the new generator, from nearby gas meter. o Perform 4 Hour Loadbank on new natural gas generator - 4 Hour load test will be as follows: 1hr30%load 2hr- 50%load 30min-75%load 30min- 100%load. o Provide City staff with start-up and Operations and Maintenance training. o Provide City staff with electronic format and searchable PDF format of Operations and Maintenance manual(s). o Submit for and pay for all required permits. o Provide Payment and Performance Bonds The City will: o Provide City staff to accompany Contractor during testing and start-up. o Provide temporary standby generators and temporary cables for construction process. Please quote as an option if the Contractor is requested to provide this equipment. o Provide any repair work to City structure and landscaping.
