Site work for a road / highway in Stuart, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

As of 2/19/2024, project has not yet been awarded. It is anticipated to be awarded 3/11/2024. The purpose of this bid is to seek qualified, experienced contractors to provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to install gateway and district signage to give a sense of arrival into downtown and special districts. The work consists of fabrication, engineering, and installation of district and gateway signage for the City of Stuart. There are 5 district signs and 4 vertical gateway signs, all located within City R/W or within easements already obtained. Limited Permitting is required. The work consists of sign fabrication and installation of signage system. These signs will be placed on the major arteries at gateway and intersection leading to downtown and district locations. These strategically placed signs will clearly direct visitors to entertainment and recreational assets and points of interest. The work consists of, in general, the furnishing of all labor, equipment, materials, and performing all operations to fabricate, permit, engineer, and construct the proposed signage system within the City of Stuart. These signs will be placed in the major arteries at gateways and intersections leading to downtown and district locations. Signs are located all within City Right-of-Way, City Property, or within already obtained easements. These strategically placed signs will inform visitors as they enter the different districts throughout the city. The Contractor shall pay to the party of the first part, as damages for non-completion of the work within the time stipulated for its completion, one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each and every day for the first thirty (30) days and five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each and every day thereafter, which may exceed the stipulated time for its completion, is hereby agreed upon, fixed and determined by the parties hereto as liquidated damages that the party of the first part will suffer by reason of such default and not by way of penalty. The party of the first part is hereby authorized to deduct the said sum (as specified above) from the moneys which may be due or become due said Contractor for the work under this contract, or as much thereof as the Owner may, at its own option, deem just and reasonable. It is hereby understood and mutually agreed by and between parties hereto that the time of completion is an essential condition of this contract. By submitting a proposal response, successful respondent agrees to start the work within ten (10) days of issuance of Notice to Proceed. All performance of the Contract Work shall be completed within sixty (60) calendar days of the date of issuance of the NTP. Commencement of the Contract Work by the Contractor shall be deemed a waiver of the NTP and shall constitute the date of commencement for the purpose of the completion deadline. Each bidder shall furnish the information required on the bid schedule and each accompanying sheet thereof on which he makes an entry. Offers submitted on any other format are subject to disqualification. Bidders shall submit all inquiries regarding this bid via the Citys e-Procurement Portal.All answers to inquiries will be posted on the Citys e-Procurement Portal. Respondents may not contact any, City employee or City elected official during this solicitation process. All questions or requests for clarification must be routed through the e-procurement portal. The City of Stuart is registered, you may submit your bid electronically by registering on the City e-Procurement Portal. Otherwise, all bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with the invitation to bid number, date and time of opening. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the public opening date. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, without recourse, to waive technicalities or to accept the bid which in its sole judgment best serves the interest of the City. Cost of submittal of this bid is considered an operational cost of the bidder and shall not be passed on to or be borne by the City.
