Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Mercer County Commissioners for furnishing of all labor, material and equipment in constructing erosion control along the Beaver Creek located in Sections 33 & 34 of Liberty Township, Mercer County, Ohio. Project includes 4,895 tons of "Type C" rock channel protection. A contract will be awarded on a unit price basis to the lowest and best bidder. The awarding agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities when the same are to the agency's advantage. Project for Beaver Creek is located along 1,300 feet ofthe south bank beginning at the Wabash Road bridge and extending in an east/southeasterly direction. Then continuing at the Wabash Road Bridge on the south bank traveling in a westerly/northwesterly direction approximately 1,800 feet, or to a point determined by the Mercer County Engineer after completion of the installation of approximately 3,625 cubic yards ofmaterial (4,895 tons). The conversion factor used for this project for Type C is 2700 pounds = One cubic yard. (1.35 tons per C.Y.) Access to the Beaver Creek will be off Mud Pike Road and Wabash Road. Only access points designated by the engineer will be utilized for ingress and egress to the project. All access points utilized by the contractor shall be completely restored by the contractor prior to final payment of the project. During construction of the project, the contractor will be responsible for the maintenance ofthe access drive to keep it in a reasonably safe condition.
