Sodium polyphosphate, glassy: A glassy solid that is a soluble sodium phosphate containing Na2O and P2O5 in a molar ratio of approximately 1.1 Na2O to 1.0 P2O5. It is an amorphous mixture of long-chain polyphosphates with the formula Nan+2Pn0n+l. The approximate value of n is either 12-16 or 18-21.
