Reference Number 0000339606 The City of Farmington Hills is soliciting bids for resurfacing the floor in the gymnasium, of the Farmington Hills Community Center (Hawk) Gym, located at 29995 W. General bidding questions should be forwarded to Nikki Lumpkin, Senior Buyer via email, nlumpkin@fhgov.com. -Anticipated project award February 12, 2024 -Start date of Tuesday, May 28, 2024 -Final completion June 10, 2024 *The City of Farmington Hills reserves the right, in their sole and exclusive discretion, to reject any or all bids for any or no reason at all, to not award this contract to any of the bidders for any or no reason, to waive irregularities and/or informalities, and to make the award that in the opinion of the City Council is in the best interest and to the best advantage of the City of Farmington Hills. A. Contractor must schedule all work with the Hawk Staff. B. Contractor must have experience (municipal preferred) resurfacing floors. C. Contractor will provide all labor & materials to refinish approximately 13,912 sq. ft. of Gym Floor as specified below. D. Contractor will sand floor to bare wood. E. Contractor will make sure all rubber marks, gum, grime and debris are removed (including floor edges). F. Contractor will vacuum floor of all dust and debris, G. Contractor will paint the lines and logos as indicated below: o (One) Main Basketball Court with a 2" Border to be a lighter color & (Two) three-point arches, free throw box and hash marks o (Three) Cross Side Basketball Courts 2" color TBD, three-point arches, free throw box and hash marks o (Three) Cross Volleyball Courts 2" color TBD o (Six) Pickleball Courts 2" Royal Blue o Center logo inside the center circle with natural breaks in-between paint colors. H. Floor should be tacked with rag after paint dries. I. Contractor will finish (natural) the floor with two coats of an oil based MFMA approved (Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association) sealer, specifically designed for gym floor refinishing and two coats of oil based MFMA approved finish, screening the floor in between all coats. Product should be delivered in its original container with seals & capes intact. J. Contractor will clean up worksite at project end, remove all expended materials and dispose of them off-site.
