2024 Road Program Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. Questions will be accepted until 3:00 P.M., prevailing time, on Thursday, January 25, 2023. All questions must be submitted through online. The project documents contain provisions regarding the applicability of PA Prevailing Wages. Liquid Fuels funds will be utilized for funding a portion of this project and all materials and work must conform to the most recent edition of PennDOT Publication 408 unless otherwise specified. Birmingham Township reserves the right to reject any or all BIDS or portions thereof and to accept any BIDS, or portion of Bid, which in its judgment is for the best interest of the Township. the Work generally consists of furnishing all equipment, labor, and materials for, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Project comprises of milling; Superpave wearing course application to roadways and municipal parking area, base course repairs, asphalt seal coat, inlet repairs, storm pipe replacements, tree removal; and crack sealing of Township Roads. Bids shall be effective for a period of sixty (60) calendar days.
