Local Public Agency: La Porte County Government Project Location: Planning Document documents jurisdiction over unincorporated La Porte County Project Description: The comprehensive plan is a long-range policy-oriented planning document that gives guidance and vision to all decision-makers that affect the development, functionality and well-being of the built community. It becomes the community's collective vison and reference for fiscally responsible growth. This RFP is not seeking a complete rewrite of the current plan and associated maps, rather an update of information (current conditions, strategic goals and objectives, land development strategy areas, implementation techniques, and assorted tables and relevant figures/materials). The update shall create a new current and future land-use and zoning map reflective of the goals and objectives of the community today and into the future. This Request for Proposals (RFP) is official notification of needed professional services. This RFP is being issued to solicit a letter of Interest (LOI) and other documents from firms qualified to perform engineering work on federal aid projects. A submittal does not guarantee the firm will be contracted to perform any services but only serves notice the firm desires to be considered.
