Site work for a water / sewer project in Warrenville, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The construction of a HMA parking area, new and replacement sidewalks, new & replacement curb & gutter, various environmental barriers per IEPA requirements, a compensatory storage area, minor storm sewers, water main construction, and sanitary main construction; and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project as shown on the plans. This work is located generally near the northeast corner of Batavia Road & Warrenville Road. This work is partially funded by the U.S. EPA CERCLA Funds. All bids shall be made on the forms provided and will be made part of the contract documents to be executed with the Owner. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft, cashier's check or certified check payable to the order of the City of Warrenville, Illinois, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, as a guaranty that the bidder will execute the contract, if it is awarded, in conformity with the bid form. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds on forms provided in the Contract Documents, each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price. Bid Bonds will be duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Owner, having a minimum equivalent of a A.M. Best Company Inc., A-rating, and will be prepared on the form attached within the bid documents. No bidder may withdraw his bid after the scheduled closing for a period of sixty (60) days or the contract is awarded, whichever is first. The Owner expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept the one that appears to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner expressly reserves the right to waive any informalities or technical irregularities in a bid if to do so is in the best interest of the Owner. The City Council will determine the successful bidder.
