SCOPE OF WORK: Provide all labor, materials, equipment for the replacement of existing or installation of new lighting, with energy efficient lighting and sensors to minimize energy usage. The retrofit project mandates the installation of ceiling-mounted infrared/sound dual-technology sensors in each classroom. Individual lighting fixture occupancy sensors or remote-control sensors are not allowed. Occupancy sensors must be hardwired; the use of wireless occupancy controls is strictly prohibited. Any exceptions to this requirement must be approved by the district prior to implementation. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI): All questions are to be submitted electronically through online only and will be due on January 12, 2024 at 12:00 pm. Any RFI submitted in any other format or in any other method shall go unanswered. ESTIMATED PROJECT COST: $117,600 Start/Delivery Date 2/12/24 PROJECT DURATION: FORTY (40) consecutive calendar days. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: At the time bids are submitted, each bidder shall possess a valid license B and/or C-10 and must maintain the license throughout the duration of the project. AWARD: District shall award the Contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the total of the base bid amount. BID SECURITY: A Bid Security of 10% of total bid amount is required to be submitted with bid form. Successful Bidder will be required to furnish 100% Payment and Performance Bonds. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening for bids except as provided pursuant to Public Contract Code Sections 5100 et seq. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. Liquidated Damages $500/day
