Renovation of a golf course in Hudson, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a golf course.
The proposed work consists of the repair and resurfacing, with asphaltic concrete, of various streets and city-owned properties and asphalt patching of various streets and city-owned properties in the City of Hudson, Ohio. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond (form attached) for the full amount of the Bid, with security satisfactory to the City Manager and issued by a surety meeting the requirements of paragraphs 5.01 and 5.02 of the General Conditions, or by a certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code, in the amount of 10% of the Bid, payable to the City of Hudson, Ohio. Certified checks or cashier's check must be delivered to City Hall, 1140 Terex Road, Hudson, Ohio prior to the bid date and time noted in the advertisement for bids. The Bid security submitted with a Bid will be held as a guaranty that, if the Bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into. The Bid security will be returned to all unsuccessful Bidders immediately after the Contract is executed, and, if other than a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond, to the Successful Bidder upon filing the required Performance Bond (form attached), with security satisfactory to the City Manager. Question Deadline 01/30/2024 at 4:00 PM ET All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT in writing through the Bid Express website If a cashier's check or certified check is utilized as the Bid security, this shall be mailed to or hand-delivered to City Hall, 1140 Terex Road, Hudson, Ohio 44236, prior to the bid opening date and time prescribed in the Advertisement for Bids. The envelope shall be plainly marked with the Project title and state bid security enclosed OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. OWNER further reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to be non-responsive. OWNER may also reject the Bid of any Bidder if OWNER believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder. OWNER also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work. All questions shall be asked no later than 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. All questions will be answered no later than Wednesday, February 28, 2024. online
