Project - EAH Behavioral Health Hospital Bid Package #1 - Structural Steel - This package includes, but is not limited to, furnishing and erection of all Structural and Miscellaneous Steel for the project, as shown and listed in the Bid Documents and Scope of Work included in Attachment A hereto. Bidders wishing to submit a bid for this Package #1 must submit all responses on the Bid Proposal Form, included as Attachment B. Bid Package #2 - Electrical - This package includes, but is not limited to, all Electrical work shown and listed in the Bid Documents and Scope of Work included in Attachment C. Bidders wishing to submit a bid for this Package #1 must submit all responses on the Bid Proposal Form, included as Attachment D. Each bidder shall show evidence on the Proposal Form (Attachment D) of prior work on Hospitals and prior work on Behavioral Health Facilities, similar to this project. Liquidated Damages for this project shall be 6% annum of original contract per Calendar Day. Prospective bidders must obtain the plans and specifications from the CMAR in order to submit a proposal. Request for plans and specifications shall be sent via email to the following email address no later than 72 hours prior to the time of receiving bids specified: bpeoples@baileyharris.com . All prospective bidders MUST notify the CMAR of their intention to bid on the project a minimum of 72 hours before the time specified for receiving bids. Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms provided in the bid documents. Bid shall include all pages included in Division I - Bid Documents. Any questions regarding the project must be submitted to the CMAR a minimum of 48-hours before the time specified to receive bids. RFIs must be submitted to bpeoples@baileyharris.com Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the contract price, but not to exceed $10,000.00, will be required for all bids. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. Withdrawal of bids may be cause for loss of the bid bond. If awarded the contract, Bidder agrees to enter into a Construction Contract and furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount and evidence of insurance within fifteen calendar days after the contract forms have been presented for signature, provided such presentation is made within 30 calendar days after the opening of bids. The required insurance limits are listed in the bid documents. As security for this condition, the undersigned further agrees that the funds represented by the Bid Bond (or cashier's check) attached hereto may be called and paid into the account of the Awarding Authority as liquidated damages for failure to so comply. No bids will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly qualified with the State of Alabama. In addition, non-residents of the State, if a corporation, shall show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama. Documentation showing this requirement should be included in the bid backage submitted. No contract will be awarded unless the contractor holds a current and appropriate license from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama. Documentation showing this requirement should be included in the bid backage submitted. EAMC will act as the awarding authority for the bid packages. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. EAMC reserves the right to reject any and all proposals submitted; to void this RFP and the review process and/or terminate negotiations any time; to select separate responding parties for various components of the scope of services; and to select a final party/parties from among the proposals received in response to this RFP. Additionally, any and all RFP project elements, requirements and schedules are subject to change and modification. EAMC also reserves the unqualified right to modify, suspend, or terminate at is sole discretion any and all aspects of this RFP process, to obtain further information from any and all responding parties, and to waive any defects as to form or content of the RFP or any responses by any party. This RFP does not commit EAMC to award of contract, defray any costs incurred in the preparation of any response to this RFP, or contract for any services. All submitted responses to this RFP become the property of EAMC as public records. All proposals may be subject to public view, on request, unless exempted as discussed elsewhere in the RFP. By accepting this RFP and/or submitting a proposal in response thereto, each responding party agrees for itself, its successors and assigns, to hold EAMC and its agents, directors, consultants, attorneys, officers, and employees harmless from and against any and all claims and demands of whatever nature or type, which any such responding company, its representatives, agents, contractors, succors or assigns may have against any of them as a result of issuing this RFP, revising this RFP, conducting the selection process and making a final recommendation, selecting a responding party/parties or negotiating or executing an agreement incorporating the commitments of the selected responding party. By submitting responses, each responding party acknowledges having read this RFP in its entirety and agrees to all terms and conditions set out in this RFP. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsible, qualified, and responsive bidder.
