Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Republic, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Wake County is soliciting bids for the asphalt repairs, crack seal, asphalt seal coat, and parking lot striping for twelve Wake County facilities. General layouts of the asphalt surface to be bid upon are included in the bid package, which provide intended scope for the location and approximate quantities. Questions Due Date: Jan 15th 2024, 5:00 PM EST The quantities provided are intended to be a guide only. The bidder shall be responsible for verifying all measurements and quantities. Contract Base Bid Scope of Work to include: Prior to sealcoating, thoroughly clean, sweep, and blow theasphalt of debris, dirt, and vegetation. Fill paving joints and/or linear cracks with hot-applied rubberized asphalt. Cracks 1/4 " or greater to be filled. Apply sealcoating to asphalt areas as designated on attached diagrams. Approximate surface areas are listed for each site on the include bid sheets. Two coats of sealcoating to be applied to all parking areas. All drive aisles to receive three coats. Striping of all parking spaces, striped islands, walkways, and directional arrows. All parking spaces, striped islands, and directional arrows to be two applications of standard 4" widelines painted in TTP-115F white color. ADA striping will be made at a 45-degree angle to the parking or travel lane, with hash lines at 3' on center in handicap blue traffic marking paint. Striping to match existing layout. All work shall be in accordance with the attached specifications and drawings. The contractor shall supply all materials required to complete the work. Quantities provided in the Bid Sheet are estimates. Contractor shall field verify dimensions and quantities needed to complete work. All work shall be completed as detailed in the contract, drawings, and pre-bid meeting upon receipt of a notice to proceed document. o Contract bid shall be on a lump sum (total price) basis. The contract may become null and void if the work is not performed within agreed upondates. Contractor shall be responsible for removal of all equipment, debris, and trash from site at project construction completion. All work included in this contract shall be completed within ninety (90) calendar days of the notice to proceed. The contractor shall be responsible for any damages to buildings or individuals as a result of work being performed while at Wake County facilities, whether temporary or permanent,and to adjoining property. In order to protect the lives and health of their employees the contractor shall comply with all applicable current OSHA and ADA regulations and shall be responsible for all safety precautions while performing the work. The contractor shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining, and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the work. Wake County reserves the right to engage a qualified independent testing agency to perform field inspections and field quality control testing Areas of Asphalt Repair (FV School Park & Lake Crabtree Park only): Square cut removal of damaged asphalt and any damaged, insufficient base course material. Replace aggregate base course as needed for adequate compaction. Approximate total area is shoe. Proof roll of the stone base will be required before construction proceeds on top of them. A loaded tandem dump truck or other suitable equipment will be used for proof roll.Proof roll will be witnessed and approved by Wake County or their designee. Provide 3" (compacted thickness) of S-9.5B asphalt on parking lot. Asphalt shall be placed in multiple lifts according to the requirements of the NCDOT standard specifications for roads and structures, current addition. A tack coat is required where asphalt will abut existing asphalt or concrete. For S9.5B surface asphalt pavement, reference NCDOT STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROADS AND STRUCTURES, Division 6, Section 610 as well as NCDOT MATERIAL & TESTING UNIT ASPHALT QMS, Section 3. Wake County reserves the right to reject pavement that does not meet the specifications for density and/or thickness or is otherwise found to be unacceptable. Pavement that is rejected by Wake County will be removed and replaced by the contractor at no additional cost. A Pre-Bid Conference shall be held to provide information for bidders. Bidders are required to attend the pre-bid conference and conduct site visits on their own to become more familiar with the sites prior to bidding. Wake County may waive any informalities or irregularities of bids. Wake County will not accept conditional bids
