Demolition and renovation of a laboratory facility in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a three-story above grade laboratory facility; and for the demolition of a three-story above grade laboratory facility.
The scope of thisd project includes, but is not limited to, the following: demolition and renovation of a laboratory facility. As of January 16, 2024, a general contractor has not yet been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. Flynn Construction invites you to provide a bid proposal for demolition and abatement of three-floors (not counting basement and penthouse floors) of an existing laboratory building abandoned by TFC since 2002, including full building demolition including foundations and basement infill in lifts to restore site to pre-building conditions. The TFC A-100 laboratory building to be demolished is located on the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Campus at 1100 West 49th Street, Austin, Texas 78756. Work is anticipated to begin within 30-90 days and be completed (once started) within 240 days of notice to proceed. The work will be performed in a single mobilization and includes sitework, civil, demolition, abatement, and MEP work as required. Plans and specifications are available to view and download via SmartBid, including drawings and specifications. This work is exempt work for Texas Facilities Commission. 3. Please include any long-lead materials in excess of 12 weeks and their anticipated durations to furnish to the job with your proposal. 4. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project. Please contact Tanner to arrange a site visit if necessary. 5. All work will be completed during normal/standard working hours. 6. This work is being permitted and is expected to be ready to begin construction in the next 90 days as the bid process, permitting, and contracts allow. The schedule duration for the project is expected to be about 6 months. 7. No prevailing wage or liquidated damage requirements will apply to this project. 8. HUB Subcontractor inclusion is requested for this project. Please identify your HUB status with your bid proposal (and any documentation to prove current status) with your proposal. Required project scope includes sitework, hazardous materials abatement, interior and building demolition, and make-safe work for plumbing, mechanical, and electrical trades as necessary.
