Renovation of an educational facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of the following major items for the existing stormwater repairs: Modifications to the two (2) existing outlet structures located within the existing dry detention ponds as specified. Minor earth grading and installation of Bermuda sod as indicated on the plans. Bidding Documents include this Invitation to Bid, and the following attached forms: Form of Proposal, sample contract, Sales Tax Report, School Access Requirements, MBE forms, Board of Education Policies. The bidding documents also include the plans and specifications, and any Addenda issued prior to receipt of bids. All requirements and obligations of the Bidding Documents are hereby incorporated by reference into the Contract Documents and are binding on the Successful Bidder upon award of the contract. Each Bidder by submitting his Bid represents that he has read and understands that Bidding Documents and his Bid is made in accordance therewith; and Bidder agrees to be bound by the terms and requirements set forth in the Bidding and Contract Documents; that he has visited the site, has familiarized himself with the local conditions under which the Work is to be performed herein, and has correlated his observations with the requirements of the proposed Contract Documents. The Wake County Public School System reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and irregularities in bidding and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the School System. Also, the Wake County Public School System reserves the right to require any bidder to submit information needed to determine if said bidder is responsible within the meaning of N.C. Gen. Stat. 143-129. * Please note: The pre-bid is not mandatory but highly recommended. All potential bidders including all subcontractors and other personnel wishing to attend the pre-bid conference must check-in at the school's main office prior to the pre-bid conference. After checking in, please meet outside the main entrance to the school. Please plan accordingly. We request all potential including their subcontractor do not access or walk around the campus without being escorted by WCPSS personnel or the Owner's representative for safety concerns. All questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing directly to Charles P. Ristimaki, Dewberry Engineers Inc. at 2610 Wycliff Road, Ste 410, Raleigh, NC 27607, 919-881-9939 or via e-mail at cristimaki@dewberry.com. The WCPSS Owner's Representative, David A. Wakeford, can be reached at 919-588-3565 or via e-mail at dwakeford@wcpss.net. All bidder inquiries are due no later than Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 12:00 pm so the final (tentative) addendum may be issued on Friday, January 26, 2024.
