Project Description: This project consists of an elevator Modernization for a 6 stop Westinghouse including jack replacement. Prebid Meeting: Will be held at the site first floor elevator lobby. 930 1St Street North at 10:00 a.m. local time. Prospective prime bidders are requested to attend, although not mandatory. Elevator can be viewed during normal hours of operation. Construction Contract Bids will be received for the following Work: Single prime bid contract for the elevator Modernization and all associated work including electrical, painting, flooring and miscellaneous items. NOT USED BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING The Bid, Bid Security and other documents required to be submitted with the Bid shall be enclosed within a sealed opaque envelope which shall be identified with the Project name, and the bidders name and address and shall have marked on the face of the envelope the words "Sealed Bid Enclosed" Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows: Bid Date: Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Bid Time: 1:00 p.m., local time. Location: City of St. Cloud City Hall Main Counter 1201 7th Street South St. Cloud, Minnesota 56301 Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. BID SECURITY Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of Five (5) percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after opening of bids. OWNER’S RIGHT Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in the bidding process or any Bid received, to accept any Alternate(s) in any order or combination and to award a contract that is in the best interest of City of St. Cloud. CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS Contracts for Work under this Bid will obligate Contractor and Subcontractors to maintain policies of employment under provisions of applicable Federal and State laws against discrimination, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Minnesota Statute 363.
