Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Princeton, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 8,400-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.

This Request for Qualifications-Request for Proposals (RFQ-RFP) (upon the terms and conditions set forth in this RFQ-RFP) is for the design and construction of a new Parks and Recreation Building (hereinafter Project). The parks and recreation building will be approximately 8,400 square feet with a shop/garage, an outdoor storage space, and parking. The building location is currently surrounded by a recently constructed parking field consisting of fire lanes and water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer stubs to serve the building. Approximately 4 Million. Introduction 1) In general, the scope of this contract shall be to design and build a two-story, approximate 11,000 square foot parks and recreation building. The Preliminary Site Exhibit (Attachment 1) is provided for bidders to use as a guide for estimating. The site exhibit shows an 8,400 SF single-story building. The current proposed building is estimated to be about 11,000 SF which includes a 6,000 SF shop and equipment bay and approximately 4,800 SF of conditioned office space split between two floors. The building size and footprint will be confirmed during detailed design and is subject to change. 2) The Project is to be a turnkey Project, with Design/Builder to provide all work, services, materials and labor for the Project to be fully operational as a parks and recreation building upon substantial completion. Design/Builder shall provide or cause to be provided all design, work, services, materials, labor, equipment, surveys, management of environmental issues associated with construction, geotechnical studies for foundation design, design, engineering, plumbing systems, ventilation systems, HVAC systems, and other matters necessary for the design, construction, and construction administration and its inclusive of all costs necessary to the installation and completion of the Project (except for equipment provided by the City and identified in this RFQRFP), in working order, unless specifically set forth otherwise herein. 3) The Project shall be designed and constructed in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations. 4) The attached exhibit may not represent compliance with applicable codes, standards, laws, ordinances and/or regulations. The project must be designed and built in strict compliance with: City of Princeton Building Codes and Standards Applicable Federal and State laws concerning public buildings Applicable environmental laws associated with construction sites, public buildings and stormwater discharge requirements American Disabilities Act (ADA) and Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS) The proposed Parks and Recreation Building will be located on North Beauchamp Boulevard, Princeton, Texas 75407. The City's selection of its engineer for the government's representative has already occurred. A Preliminary Site Plan is provided for Respondents to use as a reference. Kimley-Horn will work with the selected team to produce site civil and landscape construction plans. This request requires that qualifications be submitted first, without any cost information (Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)). Up to five (5) finalists will be selected for interviews. The highest ranking will submit a full Proposal. Please note that all SOQs must be received at the designated location by the deadline shown. SOQs received after the required deadline will be retuned unopened and shall be considered void and unacceptable. Introduction The City of Princeton Parks and Recreation Department provides the community with activities and entertainment that promote a healthy lifestyle while preserving a natural environment for the enjoyment of citizens. Responses must be typed on standard (8.5" X 11") paper, with each page numbered sequentially. Minimum font size is 12 points. Responses must contain a table of contents with page numbers and be arranged to correspond to terms/requirements of this RFQRFP in the order that those terms/requirements appear in the RFQ-RFP. The Parks and Recreation Department currently resides out of City of Princeton municipal center and maintains and operates four parks within the City. The City of Princeton is seeking qualifications to design and construct a new parks and recreation building located on the northeast corner of North Beauchamp Boulevard and West College Avenue in the City of Princeton All inquiries must be submitted Electronically no later than 5:00 PM C.S.T., Monday, February 12, 2024. Submissions received after the stated deadline will be returned unopened and will be considered void and unacceptable. The City of Princeton is not responsible for lateness of mail, carrier, or any method of delivery. Delivery by fax is not acceptable. The time/date stamp at the City Hall shall be the official time of receipt. Persons, entities or teams delivering qualifying submissions will be notified by 5 PM C.S.T. on Thursday, March 7, 2024, as to whether they have been selected as a Finalist to be interviewed.
