Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Elkford, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a multi-residential development; and retail development.
Design of two separate buildings in our downtown area. Scope A: Mixed-Use Commercial/Residential Building: Scope A includes the design of a multi-storey, mixed use building at the intersection of Boivin Road and Alpine Way. In concept, this building is desired to contain a mix of ground floor, pedestrian-oriented commercial uses (e.g. restaurant, retail, professional services, office), with 2-3 storeys of residential accommodation above the first floor. The District is seeking to add valuable commercial space on the ground floor of the building across more than one unit/tenancy. The building should also maximize residential units above the first floor. Scope B: Institutional Building Scope B is for the design of an institutional building to eventually replace the existing clinic building in downtown Elkford. The details of this structure are to be determined in consultation with the regional health board and Interior Health Authority. It can be assumed that the required floor space will be approximately 10,000 square feet. TIMELINE: Request for proposals from qualified proponents to provide architectural design services is cancelled. Timeline for re-bid is undetermined. Further update may be available in summer 2025, upon approvals.
