Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The estimate is as follows: Contract 2024-1: $600,000 Contract 2024-2: $80,000 Contracts 2024-01 and 2024-02 include rehabilitation of three Nittany and Bald Eagle Bridges at mileposts 16.75, 26.01 and 36.90. Work includes, but is not limited to, reinforced concrete repairs, stone masonry repointing, placement of riprap, reinforced concrete deck rehabilitation, installation of scour countermeasures, and approach track work. Erosion and sedimentation pollution control, temporary access, and traffic control is also included. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record with the Engineer as having obtained the Contract Documents. Question Deadline 01/31/2024 at 12:00 PM ET All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be sent in writing to Stiffler, Mc-Graw & Associates in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Telephone inquiries are unacceptable. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid total. The bidders' attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum prevailing wages, must be paid on this project and bids shall be prepared accordingly in accordance with the bid documents. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date, with the right to extend thetime to 120 days if additional time is required due to approval of another government agency. The SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids that are deemed to be in the best interest of the SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority, and to reject any or all bids. Project Summary: Jason reviewed the scope of work for the three projects. The work involves rehabilitation and improvements on NBER Bridges 16.75, 26.01, and 36.90. Jason noted that the three projects are separated into two contracts, with one contract containing Bridge 16.75 and Bridge 36.90 (Contract No. 2024-01) and the other containing Bridge 26.01 (Contract No. 2024-02). The work at each structure includes, but is not limited to: o Bridge 16.75 o Shotcrete repairs to concrete deck overhangs and fascias. o Placing liquid applied waterproofing membrane on the deck at Piers 1 and 2. o Shotcrete repair at NW wingwall with placement of R-6 slush grouted rip-rap. o Concrete blister repair at the West Abutment backwall Replacing deck overhang brackets and timber walkway and curbing at select locations. o Stone masonry repointing on Pier 2 footing. o Stone masonry repointing and epoxy injection crack seal at the East Abutment. o Cleaning and flushing all beam seats. o Installing intrusion grout bags in front of East Abutment. o Bridge 26.01 o Removal of existing concrete slab superstructure with substructure to remain in place. o Placement and backfilling of new 24" diameter HDPE pipe with rock lining at the upstream and downstream ends. o Track work on each approach and over the pipe culvert. o Bridge 36.90 o Replacing select timber deck ties. o Concrete blister repairs at each abutment. o Stone masonry repointing at each abutment above water.
