The goals ofthis project include improving river flows, wildlife habitat and vegetation along the Purgatoire River corridor and the City of Trinidad's Riverwalk. The scope ofthis project includes but is not limited to: bankfull mitigation; riverbank and habitatstructure rebuilding; fuels reduction; hand-cutting and chemical treatment ofwoody invasives; thinning, mulching and mowing; revegetation with trees, shrubs and seeds; etc. Project to commence after notice of award. Delivered bids must be placed in one envelope, securely sealed and clearly labeled PROJECT #03-2024 River CFS, Habitat and Vegetation Improvements. Bids sent by a carrier service (USPS, etc.) must be sealed and clearly labeled and placed in an outer envelope for mailing. The City ofTrinidad will not be responsible for premature opening of bids not properly labeled. Only bids received by the Engineering Department on or before the aforesaid date and hour set for closing ofthis Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be eligible for consideration. Any bid received after the closing time, regardless ofthe method of delivery, will be returned unopened to the bidder. Bids may not be withdrawn afterthe closing time. All bids will be evaluated and selections made as soon as possible after the bid opening. Award ofbid is subject to approval by the City Manager. Bids shall be valid for a minimum offorty-five (45) days following the bid opening. The City ofTrinidad reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to award orders for the items described either in whole or in part, ifit seems to be in the best interest ofthe City to do so. The BIDDER awarded the project contract must provide proper insurance and be a licensed contractor with the City of Trinidad.
