Reference Number 0000262286 Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. A linear hearth furnace ('furnace') was purchased by NRCAN to be used at the ARMCO facility. The furnace manufacturer is CM Furnaces and the unit being installed is a Series 300 high temperature, reducing atmosphere, continuous furnace. The purchased model is designed to operate from 800C to 1500C. Hydrogen gas is used for combustion while nitrogen gas is used as a standby safety. A gas panel is included with all necessary pressure regulators, flow meters, solenoids, and pressure switches for both the primary processing hydrogen gas and standby safety nitrogen. External compressed gas cylinder packs will be required. The furnace will be shipped and placed in the desired location and not the responsibility of the contractor.
