The Work consists of the approximate quantities: 10,735 CY Common Excavation 3,685 TONS HMA Pavement 15,070 TONS Base Aggregate Dense 9,385 LF Concrete Curb & Gutter 21,360 SF Concrete Sidewalk 9,100 SY Restoration 1,765 LF Storm Sewer 4,485 LF Water Main 2,890 LF Water Service 5,520 LF Sanitary Sewer Lining Question Deadline 01/30/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and oth Bids will be received on a unit price basis. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond as bid security, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Port Washington as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of Contract. Should any bid be rejected, such bid security will be forthwith returned to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such bid bond will be returned upon the timely and proper execution and securing of the Contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute the Contract and Performance Bond, the amount of the bid bond or check shall be forfeited to the City of Port Washington as liquidated damages. The City of Port Washington reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities in bidding, or accept the bid(s) which serves the best interest of the City.
