Water Treatment Plant Clarifier. The Town of Emmitsburg is requesting Bids to construct a Water Clarifier to improve raw water clarity flowing into the plant, reduce damage to the plants equipment and reduce the millions of gallons of lake water wasted through backwashes. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Project Cost Class D - $1,000,000 to $2,500,000. The Project has an expected duration of 360 days. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of Five (5) percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) Bidding Documents and any performance and payment bonds required by the Bidding Documents. Liquidated Damages Contractor and Owner recognize that time is of the essence as stated in Paragraph 4.01 above and that Owner will suffer financial and other losses if the Work is not completed and Milestones not achieved within the Contract Times, as duly modified. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor Bid informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work.
