Perform all work in accordance with the maintenance and protection of traffic, environmental, erosion and sedimentation control, and Department of Environmental Protection requirements of the Contract. All work under this contract SHALL require the direct in-field oversight of a Sussex County Inspector. The work to be performed under this Contract for REPLACEMENT OF SUSSEX COUNTY BRIDGE D-38, CR 519 (Wantage Avenue) over Dry Brook Tributary is as follows: Demolition and removal of the existing two lane, single span timber beam with timber abutments bridge and timber piles. Construction of a new two lane, single span precast rigid frame 3-sided culvert with parallel wingwalls. Construction of cast-in-place reinforced concrete footings supported on concrete filled steel pipe piles. Placement of a cast-in-place reinforced concrete deck slab and wing walls with structure mounted pylons and galvanized / painted three-bar steel railing. Concrete pylons to receive an architectural surface treatment and bridge number / date panels. Installation of rock scour protection. Full depth bituminous pavement replacement between stations of 98+50 and 101+75. Installation of MASH compliant guide rail and compression barrier.
