Project Location: Ekre Research Station, near Walcott, ND, You are invited to participate in this Invitation for Bid. Please submit your bid response in conformance with the instructions specified herein. By submitting a bid response, the bidder agrees and promises to sell, furnish, and deliver to North Dakota State University (NDSU) all commodities and services contained in this Invitation for Bid for which a contract is awarded by NDSU. The bidder will fully perform the contract in accordance with the all specifications, terms and conditions, and requirements contained in the Invitation for Bid and will comply with all applicable provisions of the North Dakota Century Code Chapters 54-44.4, 46-02, and 44-08, made a part of the Invitation for Bid and contract by reference. All questions and requests for clarification regarding this solicitation must be addressed to the Procurement Officer referenced on the cover sheet of this document. The requirements of this solicitation can only be altered by written amendment of the solicitation. Verbal communications from whatever source are of no effect. Questions must be received by the deadline specified on the cover sheet to allow the Procurement Officer to issue any needed amendments in sufficient time before the bid opening date. Specifications: We have three historic buildings in need of repair/upkeep, and with all three buildings we want to keep the historic look of each structure as best as possible. We are asking for bids for each structure separately, and if possible, a bid for all three structures together. Item #1 Barn - Roof repair (we want to keep the historic look of the structure). Repair roof framing where collapsing Repair holes in mow floor Replace overhang on south. Replace fascia boards where needed. Remove old shingles. Install new wood shingles (Number 1 blue grade shingles with five inch exposure) Dispose of shingles/old wood Item #2 Log Cabin 1 (Newer) Remove 10 logs that are currently rotting. Replace logs with new logs to match. Clean edges of logs to remove eroded wood. Remove all old exterior chinking material. Install Log Jam elastomeric chinking material. Rework door system Item #3 Log Cabin 2 (Older) Remove all old exterior chinking material. Clean edges of logs to remove eroded wood. Install Log Jam elastomeric chinking material.
