Water Well No. 9. Scope This section covers the insurance to be provided by the CONTRACTOR for the project and is supplemental to SECTION 00700 General Conditions of Agreement. If conditions, requirements or limitations described in this section differ from those in SECTION 00700, this section shall govern. Scope of Work The work to be performed under this Contract consists of furnishing all materials, labor, supervision, tools, equipment and incidentals and performing all work necessary to construct WATER WELL NO. 9 as specified in the proposal section of these documents. Estimate: $2,948,000.00. Construction of new 1,000 gpm water well in the Evangeline Aquifer, chemical disinfection system, associated piping, associated electrical work, and site restoration. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a reliable surety company drawn to the order of CITY OF MAGNOLIA in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. The Surety Company must be authorized to issue payment and performance bonds in the amount required for the particular contract and such authorization must be recorded in the files of the State Board of Insurance. Liquidated Damages There are no liquidated damages. Any additional costs to the OWNER due to the CONTRACTOR's failure to complete the project within the contract completion period of performance may be deducted from any progress payments due to the CONTRACTOR. Costs may include, but are not limited to, additional operations costs and $300 each day for the cost of the Engineering or Field Representation services required to complete the project beyond the contract period of performance. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to it. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance, payment, and maintenance bond for the full amount of the contract.
